Watched the two seasons with my wife. It was fun to see a young James Bond/Jason Born-like character in action. It is a bit YA but it's not sanitized. Season two sees the return of Toby Stephens as a villain (JB Die Another Day).

If you haven't already seen it there was also a movie called "Stormbreaker" starring Alex Pettyfer and Alex Rider.

They are actually very good - a lot grittier than the movie version. Ignore the youth of the protagonist, there is plenty to enjoy here for adults.

I agree. I resisted watching it during the Christmas break because it thought it would be too young adult, but decided to give a try last week. After the second episode I was hooked.

My son devoured the books when he was 11, and Horowitz seems to be consistently inventive in his many many projects.

Watched the first 4 episodes. Still fun but not as engaging as the first two seasons. It's too predictable. Hoping it will get better during the second half.

Episodes 5 and 6 were much better. No clue how 7 and 8 will unfold, which is good.

Episodes 7-8 were a fitting ending to the series. Glad the producers decided not to prolong it ad nauseam.
