D&D General Another D&D cartoon reference, do they mean anything?

Wasn't their already an announcement or a leak about an animated series? Is it surprising that it might tie into the original cartoon? Maybe Presto runs a tavern now and Erik is the bouncer?

So, this would have to be Hasbro and Disney working together...
Disney and eOne (Hasbro's media arm) work/ed together on Grey's Anatomy, Criminal Minds, Designated Survivor, The Rookie, and Cruel Summer just on the TV side of things.

Yes, eOne is much more frequently involved with Paramount, but there's also Turner-Discovery, AMC, and NBC-Comcast partnerships.

Alright, fair enough.

I wonder if they made a deal...

Well, according to the Adventure League Forgotten Realm Style Guide, larger cities in the North actually possess stuff like Printing Presses, Papers (probably also news papers if they got a printing press), and Noble Houses have actual running water.

So, I wouldn't be surprised if the more richer/aristocratic style of privileged living within DND would actually having buildings with indoor plumbing that utilizes the sewers and aqueducts. Your poorer villages/out in the middle of nowhere? Ya there's probably a Town Outhouse somewhere.

Hope the line for it isn't too long though.
Case in point: the Floshin Estate in Scourge of the Sword Coast. It has magic-induced running water in taps and bathtubs and such. Can't remember if it has flushing toilets as well or not. And that is an elf noble family's estate house in the countryside between Waterdeep and Daggerford, no less.

Quick post:

There was a script for Requiem (IIRC), an episode where the kids finally get home, which was included as a script reading with the DVD set.

EDIT: finally read through the thread (didn't think I would have time) so I see this has already been brought up.

I will add, I started writing a movie script a long time ago based on the cartoon, but live action after the kids got home.

The Dungeon Master gave the children six gemstones (which were in reality a set of dice: d20, d12, d10, d8, d6, and d4) for the six children: Hank, Diana, Eric, Sheila, Presto, and Bobby.

As adults, they got together to play D&D, bringing their gemstones, and the magic from the stones returned them to the world for each session they played. Sort of a Jumanji thing..., but before Jumanji game out LOL! (Not the original Jumanji, though...).

Wait? What?! I believe you and I know you’re going to low key hate me asking, but cite please?

I dint blame you really if you just ghost this

There have been hints.

The strongest one is the preliminary (and maybe set) cover of the box...at least right now.

Not that it will be, but it's a possibility.

Also...people can buy D&D shirts if they want as well. I think this is one of the shirts they can (or will be able to) buy.

It isn't terribly clear, though the series was released as recently as 2009, so somebody owns it, and Disney is the most likely suspect: the show itself wouldn't revert, but the complication is that the D&D IP holder and the owner of the show would need to cooperate on any action...

As of 2010 they still released box sets of the cartoon I believe. AT the time it was published by Mill Creek with attribution to Marvel as the rights holders of the cartoon (which at that point was owned by Disney) and also noting TSR (which is interesting considering WotC runs D&D) were the ones with the trademarks to AD&D and the material thereof.

The Marvel in question was actually the TV company which was seperate, which was oddly enough owned by Fox at the time...so is now also Disney property.

I don’t fully know if I see it (The cartoon is way before my time), but this is the picture people claimed to see the two figures as cartoon player characters:
