It's on sale for pre-orders for 20% off ($40 instead of $50) for D&D Beyond.

Not impressed by the low page count. I'll pre-order from Amazon, and decide if I want to cancel my order later when I know more, just in case any sales happen.

I do really love the art.

BTW just because Crystal Spheres aren't mentioned, doesn't mean they are gone, something has to be seperating Wildspace from the Astral Sea. Plus other books mentioned Crystal Spheres in 5e.

Interesting that they borrowed a 4e term, Astral Sea here. I'm not certain if they are using the Astral Sea interchangeably with Astral Plane here, or if the Astral Sea is a sublayer of the Astral Plane. This could really step on Planescapes toes.

Really unimpressed by the low page count of each book. My first thought was finally a setting done right until I saw the page count.
They could also be calling the phlogiston the astral sea and dropping the flammable bit.

My dndbeyond link has the spelljammer at 33.99, up from the usual 25.99. What price point are other seeing on the site as that’s not 80% increase in my case.

the fantasy ground version is 49 and says it’s for all the books, theDndbeyond says 49.99 initial so I’m hoping all items are included.

More like eating Top Ramen to afford all that.
Those things have soo much sodium too. Which is sad because they are quite nice for being so cheap AND actually delicious. (I stopped eating those LOONG ago once I found out how much sodium a single one has. The food we eat today already has enough sodium in it that you don't need to add any more in.)

Now I just subsist on Peanut Butter sandwiches.

So you think that physical utility justifies an 80% price hike on digital? I will respond if you answer that.
I honestly don't know what's going to be included in the digital content so hard to judge it. If it's just the content of the three books and nothing outside of that, then I agree that's too big a jump for digital only. If it includes other stuff, I want to see what that other stuff is before deciding if that's a reasonable price increase.

But it also looks like your price claim for digital is in dispute. Is it $33.99? If so, I think that's a perfectly reasonable increase due to inflation.

But my comments, and yours that I was responding to, were about the utility of the physical products, and inflation. And I disagree with you on both counts. The split has high utility for my group, and inflation is far worse than what you listed, and that's happened in a relatively short period of time.

Have you seen the price of a dragon lately??? Lol I haven’t chided you. I responded to you quoting me.
So “you’ve said that. A lot. Crazy emoji” was meant to be something supportive? Weird way to go about it. And you realize those expensive dragon minis aren’t being bought by anyone but completionist collectors or DMs who specifically need them for a scenario right? Your hypothetical Sally and Billy aren’t buying a $300 Tiamat in any world.

This is a very fascinating hypothetical world you live in where literally everyone is dying of FOMO.
