D&D General WizKids 7” WarDuke action figure!

I was just checking up on when these figures come out (apparently Q3 2022, if you're wondering), and my son saw Warduke and was like "who the hell is that?" in a tone that broke my heart. Trying to explain him, and remembering the cartoon, I replied "He's the (ESB) Boba Fett of the D&D World" and had to add "But, before the Book of Boba Fett..."

His shirt is one sleeve, and a bunch of straps. Style... not his strong suit. But then, he's Warduke, not Fashionduke.
Y'know, looking at him, he must have a fight style where he fights sideways - helmet, shield (I guess to protect his torso), armored leg & arm facing the opponent. Minimal armor to keep light and quick?

I had almost all of the action figures and thought they were wicked cool.

My old man was looking over my shoulder and said “why doesn’t he have armor on both sides?” He was used to Prince Valiant and really did not get it.

Sort of deflated me! But now I know he is cool and that is that!

Yeah, the shield protects the unarmored side, the armored side is for when he lunges to attack. It's why he looks dumb when he's inaccurately depicted as right-handed.

My childhood headcanon was someone stole his armor and he would ONLY wear that armor.

I was ever so slightly too young to get these the first time around, and yes, in my 40s will I buy the Warduke doll to attempt to fulfill decades of nostalgic FOMO, Wizards and Hasbro and OGL be damned. My weakness is manifest.

I am stunned that I have absolutely no idea who this Grimsword dude is.

Morrus, Umbran, I'mma let you finish, but Warduke style is timeless style.

Blue dragonscale chic forever. Let your Evil Fighter flag fly.

EDIT: Full-on panic when I realized how old this thread was. But preorders are still open! Result! :D
