D&D General Should The Pcs kill A Succubuss that's around 1,600 years old, which is The Succubus equivalent of A very smart 9 month old Baby?, or should they not?

Wait, so it takes this creature 1,600 years to physically develop the amount that a human baby develops in 9 months. But then it only takes 4 to 6 years from that point to develop to the point of being independent and able to protect itself? This is a truly bizarre lifecycle.

Absurd details of the example aside, the fundamental question here is if Good PCs should kill babies that belong to Inherently Evil Races. This is not a new moral dilemma, and I believe the consensus most of the gaming community has arrived at is that the question is distasteful and of no real value to consider. If you must have Inherently Evil Races, don’t give them a helpless, harmless, innocent state of development and this won’t be a problem.

PCs should do whatever the players decide they should do. I'm guessing English is not your first language? The word should is maybe not the word to describe what you are trying to ask about.

Also, 9 month old babies really aren't mature enough to have "adult style" thoughts and memories. Even a 3 year old child isn't mature enough to understand how much of the world works. Maybe your proposed plot might be more interesting if the succubus was old enough to interact with the PCs instead of just being a target.

"Do you have evidence of wrongdoing"

If no, then

"Is there an alternative to random murder?"

If yes, then:

Stop murdering random people or actual heroes will be dispatched to dispatch you.

Please, No Sadducean traps (false dilemas where all options are wrong) in your game.

If it was a sentient alien with less 24h but a menace for innocent people, then the age doesn't matter.

Other thing is if that being is harmless, and can be carried to a temple to be "converted" to a creature with good heart. Is the risk too high?

If my character knew what appeared to be a "baby" was actually a succubus or other demonic being (perhaps in some altered form), my character would most likely kill it quick without much thought, perhaps out of the public eye, but killed nether beings on the prime material are killed here, but not truly killed, at "death" they would appear back in their nether plane. Now if you killed it there, it's dead. I try to portray my characters as not having a 20th/21st century secular ethic, but a mindset from a different epoch than "today". A demon in any form should be killed immediately.
Its true that its actual age is 1,600 years old but that's by the time scale of the physical world, but in Succubus Terms the thing is still only only(?) A Baby, in fact its only the equivalent of A(?) very smart 9 month old baby

This means that its form hasn't been altered into A Baby, its actually A Succubuss whose young enough, in Succubus Terms, to be classed as A Baby, so even though its still A Succubus its also still A Baby

Unless your demons are something other than what demons are in most games - my character wouldn't care about the details, if it's knowingly a demon in ANY form, kill it now. I wouldn't thoughtlessly kill any living being even of a socalled "evil" race - depends entirely on circumstance, but a demon is an entirely different issue. It's not a living being in the normal sense - it's a demon. Kill it. Besides, I've read your posts, I'm not missing any details, it's still a demon, right? That's the only detail worth note.
