Character sheets can be exported to PDF. For books (adventures, maps scenarios etc.) I think your only option is to use the print to pdf feature. At least from what I've seen.

I prefer compromise statblocks in general. This is not exactly what I am looking for, but it is much closer. You can run him without ever looking at his spell list and that is an option I like to have. The spell list is primarily for flavor and I am fine with that. However, for Vecna I would still want to give him access to more spells, even if just for flavor.

i would be fine with NO spells liste, I would be fine with a full caster list... if they didn't hide actions like "You can AOE make everyone frieghted or you can animate 1 dead body...

It's a bit crude, but you could always use the "snip and sketch" program built into Windows 10.

I thought the same way, but honestly DnDB has just replaced PDFs for me. It is so much more user friendly for me. There are some things I still like PDFs for, but for play at the table or making homebrew monsters, DnD B is so much easier for me to use.

It isn't just that there are hoops to go through, it is WotC's outmoded, ridiculous attitude about PDFs. Nearly every other RPG publisher on the planet offers either free or discounted PDFs with physical purchases, and WotC still tries to gate this information off even while utilizing the format where it benefits them (older material, DMsGuild, etc). It's ridiculous.

While a really like Legendary Actions (and think it is a great addition to the game) I am always interested in seeing a different approach. This one works fairly well too. I mean on than the action protection the reactions act very similar to LA. I mean he gets a reaction (up to 3 - sounds familiar) any time a creature attacks him or cast a spell, so that covers almost all situations.

I am less satisfied with Legendary Resistance. It does its intended job well, but is pretty punitive and I wish they came up with other methods to achieve the same goal. I like how A5e does it myself.

I don't love Legendary Resistance either. Too much of a narrative mechanic for me.

I play mostly on Fantasy grounds so I don't need the utility stuff. But I would like material that is easy to store, read and access offline.

It is always an option. A statblock is not exhaustive, I can always add more to it as I see fit.

The previous spellcasting statblock just gave a name. If I have to look up a spell anyway, picking one too is not much more work.

That being said, I wouldn't mind if Vena's statblock had more spells or simple said he could use any and all spells 1/Day. I would still rely on the abilities actually listed in the statblock in the majority of situations. I just don't a statblock to tell me Vecna can cast Power Word Kill or whatever. He just can, if I want him too.

By that philosophy, it doesn't matter what they put in the statblock at all, since you can just do what you want anyway.
