PS: description currently is (taken from WD):
The gu'en-deeko is believed (falsely) by the northern tribes to be a human who has been cursed by the gods and turned into a giant ape-like creature for partaking in cannibalism. It is similar in appearance to a yeti but isa light grey in colour. Though it eats most things, its preference is for human flesh, particularly the brain. On devouring a human brain, it gains the knowledge of that person plus one hit point for each level its victim had. it also gains any spells or abilities the victim had. Skills and knowledge fade after 1 year, but not spells, though once used a spell is gone and cannot be relearned in the normal fashion. The hit points gained become permanent additions and are regained on resting etc. if the creature is wounded.
(The gu'en-deeko first appeared in the Halls of Tizun Thane mini-module by Albie Fiore that appeared in White Dwarf 18 in April 1980)
Bugbear as more common opponent and higher likelihood of being found in similar environment (unless the gu'en-deeko has a snorkel!)Okay, let's try 2d25 on Dice Roller and I get…

That's an Aarakocra and a Half-Dragon, neither of which are any use.
I'll try 1d3 for the drow/duergar/yuan-ti and 1d25 for the other brain donor.
…okay, I got a 3 (Yuan-ti Pureblood) for the 1d3.
For the 1d25 I got the following, in sequence:
18 (Lycanthrope, so rejected)
25 (the Yuan-ti Pureblood I already had!)
24 (Troglodyte, no traits of use)
19 (Merfolk, so no traits of use)
22 Sahuagin (might be a bit overpowered)
02 Bugbear (fine by me)
So, would you accept Berserker, Knight, Yuan-ti Pureblood and either Bugbear or Sahuagin for the Gu'en-Deeko murder machine?
Do you prefer Bugbear or Sahuagin for the last brain?

Slaughterer is a bit....icky....will muse on this today
Hmmm....skirmisher, brawler, slayer, swashbuckler, battler, combatant......? Quite hard actually.....
