can someone link me to this rules of nature?
can someone link me to this rules of nature?
Do we have to?can someone link me to this rules of nature?
I never said or implied that. From the get go I've said that I have no problem with fighters being supernaturally proficient with their weapons and doing awesome stuff. There's just no purely mundane way to do a lot of what you guys want to happen.because what makes a 14 year old girl any less viable as a 1st level fighter? we didn't suggest she was going to fight epic threats... just that she was exceptional... he then jumped to "well if she can't do it why can a 20th level fighter?:
RULES OF NATURE is a special move. And thats the thing.
The gulf between "Fighter with Special Moves and out of Combat functionality" and "RULES OF NATURE" is...vast.
If your fighter was level 40 or 50, I'd totally let him do that to Orcus. Orcus, though, is level 30ish(CR 26) and someone 10 levels or more lower than Orcus isn't going to be capable of making him look that inept."My fighter can parry Orcus, grab his weapon, swing him like a rag doll, then I run up his arm, slashing him to ribbons before I decapitate him"?

thank you for this... I would not be "I don't want this in my D*D" mad, but if voting this would be a thumbs down for me and the flavor of this would get somewhat nerfed in one of my games unless it was a epic (scope not level) gonzo game... but that would be a one off campaing.
In this case? Yes.Does the existence of an option offend you so much that you must slap it out of everyone else's hands?
"That guy ordered his steak medium rare! The one true way is well done!"In this case? Yes.
A Fighter, regardless of level, has no place in that action sequence.
Now, a Fighter with gear provided by a level 20 Artificer? Blessed by a level 20 Cleric? Enhanced by a level 20 Wizard? Inspired by a level 20 Bard?
Yeah, sure, maybe?
No single character should be able to slap around an 'end game' level threat which, to me, Orcus should be.
Thats not at what what I'm saying, but what you linked, is not just 'some special move'. Its outside the realm of what makes sense for...anything I've read, seen, participated in, for D&D at all."That guy ordered his steak medium rare! The one true way is well done!"
Just order your goddamn food and leave the other tables alone.
I have no clue what this even is....Counterpoint:
