I find it funny how people down vote the easy choices instead of eliminating the others which might actually be competition at the end.
In my defense, up until literally
the last day of the Druid competition, Land was barely holding on and Stars was killing it, right up at the top. I had hoped for Wildfire but was cool with Stars. Then, in the span of like three hours, Land went from "almost dead" to "currently winning," while Stars got an almost unmitigated stream of downvotes taking it from leader of the pack to dead.
So like...I was doing exactly what you said, shooting down the ones I didn't want to see and propping up the one I did. It didn't end up mattering, because people dogpiled my backup preference
extremely suddenly and then gunned for my main preference immediately thereafter, while making a rapid and dramatic reversal of fortune for one I had opposed from the very beginning. Hard to see how I, or anyone else, could have meaningfully done things differently when Stars had such a precipitous fall and Land such a narrow recovery.
And I'm doing now what I did then. Opposing the bland, dull choices and building up the ones I find at least moderately interesting. I would
love to be able to vote for a non-magical Fighter, but all the options either suck to some degree or are dropped Next playtest material, so...yeah. I wouldn't be totally upset if Battle Master won, but I wouldn't be
happy either.
