That gelatinous cube is way bigger than I pictured! You could put stuff in there!

Yes, that's the toy's gimmick. It's large, translucent, opens up, and has a stand inside you can put humanoid scale figures on that are being "eaten" by the cube. Here's a demonstration video from a few months ago.
