How inconvenient
The crumble/crumbles to/into is fine. Any of the four arrangements (crumble to/crumbles to/crumble into/crumbles into) are valid in English.
Is this is also true for "polymorph" and "transform"? "In" and "into" both valid?

Mention something along the lines of 'dragonscale armor is the color of the parent dragon' in the first sentence since you mention "the same hue as their armor" in the second? So for the Description, here's a start:
At first glance, a dragon warrior appears to be a human, orc or other sturdy humanoid completely coated in armor made of dragon scales; scale mail so exceptionally crafted it fits them like a second skin. A close inspection reveals the creature inside is no human fighter, but some sort of reptilian or draconic creature with finely scaled skin the same hue as their armor.
Nice.Dragon warriors are armed with broad-bladed longswords crafted from the same material as their armor.
It understands your native language? The creature is friendly to you and your companions. It understands [your languages?] and obeys your spoken commands. If you issue no commands, the creature defends itself but takes no other actions. See the fang's description for the creature's statistics.

Brrr. I'll never get used to the "you" in these texts. It isn't "me", it's my PC. Anyway. Prehistoric notions, I know.
Will likely to include the "trap activating" option of the original teeth, but will probably not have the time limit dependency on the dragon donor's age category. Might mention the normal limit of four teeth per dragon.

OK. Should've realized the red meant something other than a request for idiom. As indicated in blue, it's a placeholder that's pretty much the intro text of the 5E figurine of wondrous power, which are able to magically understand their owner's commands.
It's redded in brackets because I am toying with the idea of just having them understand Common and Draconic like a non-magic-item Dragon Warrior.
I was never fond of the "trap" thing. Far too little information on the subject imho so left it for the DM to figure out in my 2E conversion. Guess that's not an option here, though, so that's gonna be work. You might also note that the White Dwarf #21 "dragon warrior tooth" magic item is activated by being crushed after its "command word" (the dragon's name) is called out, while a figurine is thrown to the the ground somewhere within 60 feet after its command word is uttered.
Intend to address the magic item once the Description proper is finished, so will think about whether to use the crushing or throwing version later. Or maybe both?

The Age Category as limiting factor isn't such a bad idea. But then: would that be multiple warriors per teeth or just (a number of) teeth generating 1 warrior each?Or maybe the age category limit is on the number of dragon warriors, not the magic item's duration?
Perhaps a wyrmling can only produce one (using its egg tooth?), a young adult two (its "fangs" or upper canines), an adult the normal four (its canines) and ancients can have "lots" (any tooth, max limit is one per HD of the dragon?).
That's getting more complicated than 5E prefers though, but I do like to over-complicate things!
Good point.Yup, I'd prefer "the caster" or similar construction.
What if a henchman, ally or enemy is casting the spell in question?
Then it's not "you" who's using it!
