Does anyone remember that there was a decade when we were terrified of AI? You know, Skynet and all that?

I am on the periphery of circles of folks who spend a lot of time worrying about AI. Roko's Basilisk and much more involved theorizing.

The most valuable aspect of the internet, is seeing random things, looking them up and realizing its terrifying.

There are a few thought experiments I get stuck in for a few seconds, before I realize there are things that mortals simply should not know.
