These boards are the most pro-wotc space I see. Even r/onednd is more critical (in the sense of "critical thinking").
I don't know. I still see the occasional criticism of WotC from posters here. It really bothers me -- I've been reporting every single critical post I've seen to Wizards' Game Police, but nothing has been done! It's the destruction of 'Merica all over again!

Does thinking either "Sure, the booths inside are covered with cat and dog skin, but they're soft and the pizza is tastey!!!" or "Sure, the company is 100% Green, donates 90% of profits to charity, and makes great pizza - but all corporate pizza is evil!!!" both make one want to post more often?

I don't reckon anyone who thinks in multiple exclamation marks has much trouble being vocal.

Absolutely, Order 66 was an act of mercy.

For over a thousand generations the Jedi blatantly and pridefully forced their rule and religion upon the entire galaxy. They maintained unquestioned control over countless members of the senate, and directly controlled many planet's governments. They acted as manipulative ambassadors who could control communications between worlds. They were the interstellar police force for the government, given the right to kill their enemies on sight without any question of their authority or motives. All the while, they refused any oversight from outside sources. They had no checks, no balances. They wielded untold wealth beyond that of any planet (enough so that an entire interstellar army could be hidden in their accounting without anyone ever noticing). They even controlled the maps of the stars. The Jedi called this form of government "democracy".

The entire clone/droid war was an act of mercy, designed to create a conflict with minimal risk to the citizens of the Republic. By fighting a war between machines and clones, Palpatine saved an entire generation from the conflict of war. Order 66 was the end of a merciful, masterful plan that removed the Jedi with the least violence possible.
I'm pretty anti-authoritarian/anti-theocracy, and fully agree with the previous post that the Jedi were pretty evil (or overwhelmingly stupid), but Order 66 was not a good thing. It was the act that allowed Palpatine to become a fascist dictator. At best it was just another lateral move, from one authoritarian government to another. At worst, it was the fall of a semi-democracy that gave rise to a fascist dictator.

Order 66 was not a good thing. Removing a bad thing isn't a good act if the thing that's replacing it is even worse. It wasn't an "act of mercy", it was basically genocide.
