I didn't get my wife ANYTHING yesterday, but in my defense, she's packing cosplays for KatsuCon and finishing up last minute sewing, so anything I got for her would be a distraction. Also I work until 8PM, so my go-to of "dinner out at her favorite restaurant" really isn't an option. Also, she's in her third trimester, and we no longer know what she can stomach...

I'm only good for a poem or two a year, at this point. Getting this reaction ... stings, sometimes. Of course, so does having someone think I copied a published poem into the Xmas cards.

Gotta figure that being third-trimester would alter the figuring for what she was cosplaying, and make the tailoring ... tricky.

I'd say Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen are two of the best poets of the past century, for example. Don McLean's American Pie is an excellent poem.

When it comes to Dylan I may be alone in this, but good poetry makes bad music. Cohen is an outlier.
