I'll white knight for polka if no one else will. It's the butt of a lot of jokes, but it really doesn't deserve the bad rap. I'll take polka over a lot of other stuff.

For your next D&D-themed cocktail party:

(G&T)elatinous Cubes
3 envelopes unflavored gelatin
3 cups of your favorite tonic water
1 cup of your favorite gin, freezer-cold
Food coloring (optional)
Candy googly eyes (optional)

Bloom the gelatin in 2 tablespoons of cold water for 10 minutes.
In a medium saucepan, heat the tonic water until steaming hot and all the carbonation has been driven off.
Stir in the gelatin until dissolved, then stir in the gin.
Tint with green food coloring if desired.
Pour into a metal cake pan, and refrigerate until set.
Cut into cubes, decorate with candy eyes, and serve.
