I make fairly liberal use of the "ignore feature." This is a comment on myself as much as the person I am ignoring - we just aren't playing well together, rhetorically, so it is probably better for everyone that we don't. It really beats sitting and getting mad about something someone wrote on the internet.

Yeah it's not like the peak days of Usenet when you could keep up with everything! (That was a joke.)

I only use the ignore function very infrequently. I have found that being able to stand back and watch the final implosion occur can be quite cathartic.
