Someone needs to be beaten within an inch of a pineapple field. Such Lovecraftian horror being passed off as a pizza must be punished to the full extent.

Catching someone in a blatant lie, but desperately hoping that they aren't lying.
"Oh, the reason I didn't pay you back is because ... um .... I actually spent the money on a telescope, that I used to discover evidence of intelligent alien life ... and, uh, they are going to announce the discovery tomorrow!"
On the one hand, I'm like .... dude, you didn't discover alien life. You're just trying to avoid paying me my TWO DOLLARS.
On the other hand ... I really really want to see some aliens.

I understand the desire to simplify things that are complex, but maybe this isn't as black-and-white as you want it to be.
