The thing I've learned is to be extremely wary of anyone (here on EN World, or elsewhere on Reddit or WotC) who tells you what you should prefer, or what you should consider a problem, or what you need to fix. They don't know you. Odds are, they don't know what they're talking about either.
I think this applies to anybody anywhere, not just RPGs and RPG sites.

Some things are inevitable. Like the rising of the sun at the dawn of each new day, or the changing of the tide as the moon makes her orbit, or any mention of Ranger character class drawing complaints about the influence The Lord of the Rings has had, and continues to have, on D&D.
