Not really. Having more control of the world around us / greater freedom to act / more capability to handle the consequences than we ever do in reality is a big part of the appeal of role-playing.

We've all heard of morbid obesity, and consider it a serious health issue.

I'd like to propose that morbid verbosity be treated just as seriously.
