Too many for me. GenCon has gotten too crowded. Can't get hotels. Can't get events.Rumor has it...85,000 attendees this year.
As well as read the table and be willing to adjust on the fly. I run a lot of con adventures and the way to succeed is to run the game for THAT specific table of players. In the slowest game ever (GenCon Online). We're two-thirds of the way through our allotted time, the DM has sent a ton of high hit point meat bags for us to fight and no one has downed any of them yet. And these guys are clearly supposed to be the mooks we defeat to get the clues so we can go to the actual adventure site.
You've gotta playtest your con adventures, folks.
Yeah, there's no reason to not shave half the hit points off these NPCs. There is almost no way we can finish this (short!) adventure in time because of having to chew through these too-hefty mooks. As well as read the table and be willing to adjust on the fly. Is it an AL adventure or something recognizably pre-published? Or do you think the GM built it?Yeah, there's no reason to not shave half the hit points off these NPCs. There is almost no way we can finish this (short!) adventure in time because of having to chew through these too-hefty mooks.
It's pre-published, but not AL. I don't think the DM read it before today. Is it an AL adventure or something recognizably pre-published? Or do you think the GM built it?
