Woah...yeah, you win. Sorry to hear about your kidney.
Oh, in case you thought that was recent, that was years ago now. Kidney cancer. Only real issue was that I ended up bleeding excessively into my skin (not, mind you, the actual surgical area, the areas they had to punch through in the orthoscopic procedure) which caused some problems, but otherwise it went well, and, well, I'm still here so I have to call that a win.
My leg is sore and bruised (and heavily-medicated), and I'm still waiting on test results, but everything is looking good atm.
If you're overwhelmed with curiosity, or if you're just bored, here's what's up with my leg.
As some of you might already know, I lost quite a bit of weight. (There's no trick, no gimmick, or magic here. I asked my doctor what to do, did it, and boom! Fitness happened.) I ended up losing 56 pounds in total...but as I got smaller, a lump that had been hidden in the fatty tissue of my thigh slowly appeared. And tumors are not cool.
Nope. Some are lympomas which don't mean anything, but there's a lot of other things--and that large is alarming.
My doc took a look at it, then referred me to a specialist. The specialist referred me to a surgeon. And that surgeon removed the tumor yesterday morning. Apparently it was a fibrolipoma "about the size of an apple," but they sent it off to the lab to have it tested and confirmed. Apparently there are lots of different kinds of lipomas, and some of them are worse than others. All I have to show for it now is a 5" incision and a prescription for painkillers. Anyway, that's what's up.
Yeah, that;s probably okay. Probably.
