Aaaaaand we're back to the bolded font to indicate mind-reading. We went from a silly row over fighters to edition warring over warlords? Things took a weird turn.
What's wrong with high school football coaches with swords? "Lost yer arm? WALK IT OFF YA PANSY!"

Maybe the pizzeria owner is trying to punish you by not ever carrying your favorite toppings ...

... as punishment for how incessantly annoying you are about it on all of the pizza discussion boards.

It could happen! (In Judy Tenuta voice).

RE: Elsewhere

No ... I'm pretty sure it was absolutely hilarious. :). And, as posted above I am totally not surprised you disagree.

In other things. I wonder if understanding about rotations of latent factors in factor analysis (or even just orthogonal transformations of matrices in general) would be useful for people who start thinking about trying to define things on fixed coordinate systems. Without diving in, just because your big rectangular city park is set up to have the long way go from NW to SE and short way to from NE to SW, doesn't mean people need to think of it that way. It's the same park being mapped whether the map has N pointing to the top of the paper or has NW pointing that way. What makes most sense might change based on how far out from the park you're zooming or which directions the streets cutting through it go or any number of other things.

If people would just follow Snarf and admit that the super thick Chicago stuff is Lasagna and follow their taste buds and admit the New York stuff was Greasy Card Board, then there wouldn't be any Pizza Wars! We could just enjoy the one true Pizza worthy of the name, the stuff named for Hawaii.

Oh and Bitty Soda reminds me of this:

That's actually a fascinating video. Not only does it offer a neat perspective on the place of spoken language comprehension in communication generally, but it also reveals a universal human truth: that sparklers make everything more amazing - even pineapple.
