A strikethrough indicates that the user is banned, either temporarily or permanently.

When you see "Guest ########" (with the hashmarks being replaced by actual numbers) that means that person requested an account deletion.

Yeah, don't think I've ever seen that one other then when reading a certain back-history thread in Meta.

Huh, I thought I'd read somewhere that EN World didn't actually have account deletion; the best the mods could do was to lock your account (or just tell you to reset your password to some random gibberish that you made by running your fingers over the keyboard).

My understanding (again, I am speaking from memory and observation) is that only Morrus has the ability to delete accounts.

"Deletion" doesn't remove your prior posts/threads/content, but it will delete your user account and disassociate your prior posts from any specific user.

Yep. Several years ago there was a fellow by the name of Lowkey13 who ragequit over moderation. Morrus had to remove his account personally.

Interestingly, the Tapatalk app is buggy and notifies me of new responses to my posts. A few months back I got a "new" response from Lowkey13 which was a bit surprising and a lot amusing(but I'm easily amused). I don't know what triggers those "new" responses, but I've had a few dozen of them over the years.

Those just look like pretzel dogs without the salt and mustard, and therefore inferior.

AAAAUUGGHHH!!!! NNNOOOOOO!!!! Make it go away!
I'm reasonably certain I actually have a minor bit of PTSD related to having to clean the damn butter trap in the sink pipe every week when I rolled pretzels at the mall. The mental scars from that job stuck around nearly as long as the physical ones.

It is the fate of all threads.

To either die the cowards' death of disinterest, or the warriors' death of the same people who believe they are taking the other person down while, instead, disemboweling themselves.

Damn right! Fall on your own sword while screaming, "ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED????" :p

Ooh - can I poke people with it? Pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease.....

And another thing... Why is it so damned hard to get a hamburger at 9:30 AM?
I'm a third-shifter who eats a bowl of cereal at 9:30 PM every night, and I don't want to eat breakfast again for dinner, dammit.

Rage-quitting is the coward's way out; I believe that one should always forgive their enemies, for nothing annoys them more.

Regardless, it is best to not invoke the names of those who have left, lest their spirits torment you, or, worse, they turn around and show back up at your door. Usually asking to borrow money. Which is why I avoid saying "Derek" thrice unless I have a fully-stocked liquor cabinet which, when emptied, I will not mourn.

I'm picturing "Derek" showing up at Snarf's house like Winnie the Pooh searching for honey
