Huh. It's always weird to discover someone has blocked you that to your knowledge you've never interacted with and have no memory of ever even reading any posts by that person.

Look, I know I can be an abrasive ass sometimes, but, I DO try to keep myself contained to a very small number of threads.

I've had a few folks change their name, but I still knew who they were. Perhaps this is the same and it's someone you did have contact with and now goes by a new name.

Months ago I argued with a person about how I feel pineapple is bad game design. They fiercely argued against me, claimed that pineapple was fine for the game because "good game design doesn't exist". The debate eventually escalated to the point where they started insulting me, and I ended up blocking them.

I made the mistake of looking at their recent posts. Turns out they also hate pineapple and think it's bad for the game.

I don't know what to feel. I'm honestly baffled. What in the world?

OMG. That movie was SO GOOD!

(Two other recommendations- Infinity Pool, directed by Brandon "Son of David" Cronenberg, currently streaming in Hulu, and Triangle of Sadness, which is also streaming on Hulu).

If you combine the three into a triple-feature, you get a nice horror/capitalism triptych!

My sister made me watch Triangle of Sadness over the weekend. Absolutely loved it!!!
Still have to watch The Menu and those others you recommended, but they're on my list now.

It is a tragedy the actress who played Yaya passed away.

I saw that, and yes, it is a true tragedy.

ETA- Both the other movies are brilliant- The Menu for the way that it skewers (ahem) foodie culture, and Infinity Pool because it's a weird hybrid of White Lotus and ExistenZ, in all the best ways possible, with a soupcon of literary schadenfreude.

I highly doubt that this is the case with this specific person. It's one of the posters on this site that I've never seen change their minds about anything.

I think they had a grudge against me anyways, so it wouldn't surprise me if they acted that way towards me because of that. Or they just felt the need to be a contrarian.
