Haven't used my high school French in decades, despite having worked for a computer manufacturer with many Quebec customers. Might be because my high school French teacher was from "Barthelona", resulting in a couple of people telling me that I spoke French with a Castile accent. Might be because I really, REALLY didn't like those customers.
I'm surprised they didn't think you were from Ibitha.

Yeah I cannot imagine honestly, I gave up on a second language (French) a long long time ago, at this point its English, or a programming language.
The struggle is real. I spent 3 years living in Italy. I put a lot of effort into learning the language and made an effort every time I needed to talk to someone to speak Italian to see if I could get my point across. It was a difficult, humbling experience for sure.

I am reasonably certain that there are commenters whose only goal in life is to join conversations so that they can bring in their own horse, and delight as they watch it get beaten again.
And then there are those who go into a conversation to bring up someone else's horse so that he can watch them beat their own.

It's also illegal to ride your horse up the stairs of the courthouse in Prescott Arizona.
The horse thing in Toronto only applies to Sundays, though I don't know anyone who has tested police tolerance on the matter. Given how much construction and gridlock there is on Yonge, on a daily basis, it likely wouldn't slow things down appreciably if someone did so.
