The horse thing in Toronto only applies to Sundays, though I don't know anyone who has tested police tolerance on the matter. Given how much construction and gridlock there is on Yonge, on a daily basis, it likely wouldn't slow things down appreciable if someone did so.

Sounds a lot like Los Angeles. We have close to 5.5 million cars, 123k motorcycles and 1m commercial vehicles. And our city council keeps putting us on road diets.

Many years ago a buddy of mine got into a Soap and tried to get me into it.

I agreed to watch one episode and it opened up with a group of people worried about a woman who ran out into a blizzard the night before just after dark and had been out all night. They went out into the "blizzard" with the wind howling, but the snow falling straight down. After a few minutes they found her laying in about 1/8 inch of fake snow and another 1/2 inch covering her body. They rushed up and she woke up glad to see them. I told him right then to turn it off.

About a year later he asked me to give it another shot, so I reluctantly agreed and it went something like this.

Me: Why are they dressed up like they are in the old west?
Him: Well, they went back in time.
Me: Turn it off!
