Unpopular Geek Media Opinions

Discworld is overrated, I will not be taking questions.

....you're not wrong.

That said, I understand that it is a VERY LONELY island that we are on, given the nature of this forum.
I mean, I can still like Discworld and think that some of its volumes are amazing while also recognizing that the series as a whole is probably praised a little more than it deserves.

Also? The original trilogy is the best of the Dragonlance books.
Odds are against that. There are something like 156 Dragonlance books at this point, including (I just learned) The Great White Wyrm, a reinterpretation of Moby Dick(!) set on Krynn. SOME of them have to have been written by people who could actually write.

Plus I know from personal experience that the Legends trilogy is notably better than Chronicles (while still being bad), and a couple of the early expanded world books like The Legend of Huma and Weasel's Luck at least approached mediocrity. ;)

Little known fact-

Some of our books almost approach mediocrity!

.... was the original tagline for all of the D&D fantasy books.

1. Dumb Thor is the worst. Thor in the first film and the Avengers was fun but still an actual character. After that, he became a caricature. I hate it.

2. Dune (the novel) is overrated. It is not bad, per se, but it isn't some shining example of elevated storytelling. it is a space opera version of Lawrence of Arabia.

3. As bad as the shows often were, the CW presented the most true to form live action adaptations of DC heroes ever.

I never read Dune, but otherwise I agree 100% with this. The Arrowverse was way better then the Synderverse, even with some serious misteps (the Heat Wave's pregnant plotline was the worst thing to happen to the Legends of Tormorrow).

Loved Thor in Thor 1&2 and Avengers 1, but increasingly hated how they kept stripping his dignity away again and again. I could watch more then 10 minutes if Thor 4, it was soooo bad. I think The Marvels and Thor 4 should switch box offices.
