Matt Colville has a very good new video about D&D edition changes. I'm not sure about posting it here, because despite his message arguing against edition warring, it seems likely to cause exactly that here. But I recommend everyone watch it; it's quite good.

Yep. I especially liked his mention of ENWorld at around the 45 minute mark somewhere.

Have not watched it, but is the answer to delete social media, and the news beyond anything local to your own actual community? Because I know that improved my life dramatically.

My wife dropped Facebook around 6 months ago and is much happier for it.

It is good even if I disagree with some of the motives he ascribes to people preferring one edition over another, when I think it is more complex and varied. That said, he is not wrong about those motives, there are just more than he describes.
