I like Demetri Martin a lot but is it me or have his jokes gotten more dark and somewhat bitter over time (I don’t object to the change, I just could swear his earlier material had a more optimistic tone)

the only material of his that I've listened to was the These are jokes album

I was just thinking of a similar anecdote the other day.

Guy goes to see the new Batman movie at a local theater. Guy says, "was cold because they had the heat turned down, seat had no padding and was uncomfortable, and guy behind me kept coughing. Batman the movie sucks!"

That reminds me of a significant amount of Amazon reviews. People giving one-start reviews and harming the product's average review score because they are upset about the shipping.

I feel that after I turned 50 I became entitled to complain about the price of anything.

Earlier today I spent more on an order of fries than I remember getting a full meal in the past. And I'm not even 40 yet!
