Yikes! I totally misread. I read transphobic as transgender. . I'm thinking why would you tell someone trying to help someone who does a thoughtless and potentially harmful thing in an ill-advised attempt to use a trans friend as a tool to try to change the transphobic person's mind, without even discussing it beforehand, that that person would be better off not having any trans friends.

I've obviously been reading and responding to posts too quickly.
