We haven't really gotten any indication that they are doing anything else. But if they have anything to say, it will probavly be in this video.

@LaTia J I don't expect you to be able to say much, but it would be cool if you could pass along that what's up with hybrid characters ("my mom us an Elf, but my dad's a Dwarf") is a pretty hot ymtopux out in these parts.

One of the biggest questions I have is what process they decided on to replace/replicate/continue half-elf and half-orc that includes other ancestries with multiple parentages.

They hinted at something well over a year ago, but it was rather bad. We've seen no testing or results from the "pick your favorite traits and describe yourself however you want" suggestion.
The method you think is rather bad, was apparently pretty well received.

Anyway we will find out soon enough, I will probably be cool with whatever happens

I'm not really sure why so many posts are talking about the DMG being stuffed with Player classes & Player races just to force things that don't fit the PHB into the initial release. As someone who primarily tends to take the DM role I'd rather that this time around the DMG is loaded with pages focused more on the needs of the DM than that would indicate. Those Player options can slot nicely into one of the many many player facing books I'm sure we will see.

In pretty much the only time I can think of, I agree with Tetra. Don’t really want any extra species or subclasses in the DMG.

Just for fun, I’m gonna speculate on a possible villainous subclass for each class…

Bard: Whispers
Barbarian: Something new?
Cleric: Death
Druid: Spores?
Fighter: Something new?
Monk: Long Death
Paladin: Blackguard
Ranger: Swarmkeeper?
Rogue: Assassin
Sorcerer: Shadow
Warlock: Undying, or maybe Hexblade
Wizard: Necromancer
Since warlocks are generally pretty villainous in their subclasses by default, they should go against the grain and have Celestial patrons in the DMG!
