I still think of that, but isnt the next part "And before G." ?!

I am absolutely lost without spell/grammar checks, so I really do not retain these things for daily use as I live/work on a computer as it is.
I think my spelling ability has only gotten worse as time has gone on.

People often joke about how they'd be embarrassed for people to see their search history after their death.

I would be too, because 90% of my search queries are words like "restaurant" to check the spelling.

The curse of consistently having a vocabulary that tested 5 years ahead of where I was in school, was that I couldn't spell to save my life.

The other disadvantage of having a really good vocabulary that you have acquired from reading is that you know a lot of words, but ... you haven't heard them spoken.

Which means that you will whip out your 25-cent words, and then find out that no, you don't know how to say them.

Did this happen to me with aficionado when I was very young? No, and only a bard would repeat that damnable lie.

I've said it before and will, undoubtedly, say it again; ethereal.

I learned it as, "I before E, except after C.... or when sounded as AY like in neighbor and weigh."

English is a game with an exception-based ruleset.

A bard who defeats enemies using viscous mockeries and other such slanderous mispronounciations would make a fine character concept.
Has anyone ever not used this concept for their bard?

If you really want to blow their minds, give your barbarian the Magic Initiate feat and choose Vicious Mockery. Then you can literally add insult to injury.
