Are you... new... to Star Wars? You've never noticed that it tends to matter what kind of emotional state someone is in when fighting and killing? That a Jedi or their friends might try to stop a light-side force user from flat out striking someone down when their emotions are driven by anger?

There's various ways canon doesn't get broken. Legends version their Mae equivalent blabbed on death bed so it was treated as a rumor.

And it's Osha. OSHA is a governmental agency, which has been driving me crazy with regard to her name since episode 1.

They swapped places and Mae wanted to give up being the apprentice, while Osha started looking like she could go dark. Perhaps Mae becomes Jedi while Osha becomes the apprentice.
