And once again the American educational system has failed us... well, someone... whom I shall not name here.

Edit: Make that 2. And counting...

I'm not a regular steak eater, so this was interesting and made me google for more. Does this quote have the ring of truthiness? “Filet is the most tender cut, but has the least amount of flavor. Ribeye is the most flavorful, but the least tender of the three, and New York is in the middle.” Is Porterhouse the best of two worlds, or two worlds often done mediocre?
There’s a grain of truth to that, IMHO. 90% of the times I’m ordering steak in a restaurant, it’s some version of a ribeye or rib roast, precisely because it’s so flavorful. (To me, at least.)

As I recall, the fillet and the NY strip are the two sides of the T-bone. Porterhouse is just a term for T-Bones from a particular portion of the cow, and has a larger fillet.

Other beef cuts we use/eat: brisket, strip, skirt, sirloin, flat iron, chuck and, of course, ground.

We used to use 7 steak for certain dishes because of its inclusion of bones & cheapness. Bones can bring amazing flavors & textures to a dish. But it’s harder to find cheap bone-in cuts in most groceries near me. We may start using oxtails instead.

I wonder if it is the preferred cheese for hamburgers because too many people haven't yet tried pimento cheese on them, and it's hard to find at a burger place outside the south.
As an admitted cheesophile who happens to be an American born and mostly raised in the South, let me say that Cottage & pimento cheeses are on my generally do not eat” list.

Who is using Windows' "create shortcut" option? Microsoft has kept it around for decades and it's never not felt like an unwelcome accident to click on it.

I assume Bill Gates after learning he’s apparently the reason Ctrl + F is forward in Outlook instead of Find like it is basically everywhere else.
I am so happy my company is too cheap for Microsoft products.* Google has many issues -- and they're accumulating -- but Gmail for Work makes a heck of a lot more sense than all the weird hoops Outlook requires jumping through.

* Except for when I need to work with a truly massive dataset that makes Google Sheets choke and have to hunt someone down with an Excel license.
