Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Going off the link here...

Y'know, the idea that automobile accidents could be the #1 cause of death sounds pretty good (I'm not saying the stats hold true, just running with it). That would mean we've beaten back disease, war, famine, and crime. But also that society is so advanced technologically and economically that the general public has nearly unlimited access to travel. Not a perfect utopia. But better than a world where we restrict health care to the wealthy and battle to the death over resources and ideologies.

Seems fairly optimistic to me.

I don't share the pessimism in the link. But I'd certainly like fewer automobile deaths each year. When I used to do deliver you would see them quite often just from being on the road so much (especially motorcycle accidents)

“Nothing has been good since the 90’s, not music, movies, or anything” says the man who spends all day scrolling on his phone bitching about stuff….which, I dunno, isn’t a thing you could do then.

Nothing quite like a DIY swamp cooler and paletas on hot days.
According to clickbait, devices that blow air at water will chill your room instantly, way faster than air conditioning. Spoiler, nothing is better than air conditioning, but, blowing mist at your face, also great.

All the posts I don’t make are the best posts and all the arguments I’m too drunk to finish are the winners. Not posts are the best posts.

That was weird.

Read one half of an argument without realizing I couldn’t see the other half and spent way too much time trying to figure out how it related to the discussion I could see.

Then happen to use my phone to see the thread and realized that I had the other poster blocked so that explains why I couldn’t see half the argument.

Then, surfing back, realize that the person I blocked also must be on phone because they quoted me to start the argument.

Which I was totally oblivious to.

Just weird all the way around. I do wish the phone app didn’t bypass the ignore function where the other person can’t see your posts.
