Unfortunately, they aren't mutually exclusive so you'll end up spending twice as much and sleeping half as much.Have a Magic problem?
Try cocaine. It's cheaper.

That's not incorrect at all.. There is an inherent level of gambling that is core to the game. While I have some issues with that.. I enjoy the game itself so much that I'm able to look past it.It’s gambling on cards. Always has been. All those addictive phone games and loot boxes people complain about? Same thing.

Good thing that old lady didn't swallow a fly.Fun fact- opium addiction was so bad, that they invented a treatment for it!
Morphine.
And then morphine addiction was so bad, they invented a treatment for it!
Heroin.
There's a lesson there, somewhere. But I doubt anyone will ever learn it.
But I do think this is extra gross.. and it's WoTC shooting themselves and the game itself in the foot in favor of chasing profits.
Just to double check, responding with a laugh emoji to be dismissive and deride the poster is a bad thing, right?
Discretion might be the better part of valor, but it isn't always as immediately fulfilling.
Just because I have the GIF handy...That's not incorrect at all.. There is an inherent level of gambling that is core to the game. While I have some issues with that.. I enjoy the game itself so much that I'm able to look past it.

The game is at a cross roads. The Standard format is in it's death throes. It's a common joke in the community that "No one Plays Standard" With that said, standard is in a good place right now.. And they have been putting out some really good sets. We actually have a shot of maybe seeing a standard revival..
But they are taking this opportunity to try and sell trash as well. They are taking this renewed interest in standard to try and dupe potential new players at big box stores. The cynical side of me thinks they are also using the cute, child friendly nature of this new set to appeal to kids. Lil Jimmy has $12 in chore money and while he's at Target with his mom he sees these cute woodland critters on the card game. He could buy two real booster packs, or four of these draft chaff boosters.. Which choice do you think he's making?
I also wanted to point this out here specifically, because I know a lot of EN World users here are not Magic players.. But may find the set desirable, due to Redwall, or Humblewood, or whatever. MTG cards make great reference pieces for TTRPGs. So I wanted to warn those not in the know who were thinking about perhaps buying some Bloomburrow to shy away from this product, and look at Play Boosters instead. (Or really.. Talk to your LGS about buying the single cards you want. You may be surprised to find that you could get a whole mess of cute critters a few week after launch for just dimes and quarters each.)
What happens if you make a deal with a demon for your first born child, but you never have kids?
Are you obliged to have a child, or is this a loophole?
This is something that I actually don't mind. These are going to be cards only found in collector's boosters, and in some of the pre-constructed decks. These are the cards that should be expensive. They don't really see any actual constructed play. They are collectors pieces. Collectors have another chase item to hunt, and their introduction into the market should also help drive down the price of the other versions for anyone who may want them for Commander, or Cube or whatever.I also find some of the reprints just really cynical. Did we need another print of JtMS? No. Liliana of the Dark Realms? I dont know. I'm not big on some of the way's they reprint things, but I've offloaded my collection so it doesnt really matter at this point.
