I need to make a real effort to find local gaming conventions. I always hear about SoCal ones after they're over.

There's a whole list of games I'd love to try.

The ones here in Los Angeles are easy to remember. Labor Day weekend, Memorial Day weekend, and President's Day weekend. February, May and September.

Take a few month break. Commit to something shorter next time with different people.

Take a break. No need to jump right into a new game. Wrap it up, be glad it happened, and try some other stuff.

I'm personally a big fan of modern yoyoing. It's my favorite hobby, if you're looking for recommendations.

Sadly, our favorite karaoke place didn't survive long past COVID. The one remaining location in town is run very badly. (Like, the equipment rarely works, songs just fail to load, etc., PLUS the service is awful.)

I am sort of stuck with my group - but I hope maybe one new player can re-energize it. I'm in a small, Bible Belt town, so I doubt I'm going to find many players.
