Thirding Tribe 8, and seconding Rifts: Canada and Rifts: Quebec. There's also "Champions of the North" for the Champions/HERO game and system.

Now that you mention it, the Maritimes and Newfoundland could make for an interesting spot to play, with its water travel and islands allowing for a points of light type setting with harsh wilderness and isolated communities connected by boats.

I think an underrated aspect is the importance of transportation. Canada was first settled by following its mighty water ways, braving rivers in bark canoes.

Then came the land roads as horses became more common and people continued westward in the planes in wagons and making their ways through the forests of Ontario to reach the plains.

Then the metal horses appeared and the transcanadian railway became a major undertaking. Transporting cargo and people across the vast distance of our country.

Finally, the airways opened to us, not just with planes but also radio to carry messages. It made the country feel smaller and gave us access to areas that were previously unreachable by humans. We still have many lakes that no human has ever touched, land we never walked...

Good point, and pre-colonization the first nations were masters at waterway travel, with canoes of all types (dugout, bark, skin, kayaks, etc) depending on the region for both the materials available but also the type of waterways to be plied. And for that matter, where in Canada also can have a huge difference in the campaign type as the geography/landscape and climate can vary a great deal: rainforest, prairie, mountains, lakes, forests, maritime, tundra, ice floes... :)

Canada's History is intrinsically linked to the History of transportation and long distance communication.

nodnods Which now has me thinking about flavourful, magical, long-distance communication methods such as animal messenger, light displays, druidically enhanced fleet-of-foot runners, amplified drum beats, spirit image sending, arcane marked inukshuks, and the like.
