Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Elsewhere, in that den of sin we call 'reality'.

"Its broken. Update us."
Our Hero - "You sure? We did a demo on this, you know it worked, you were there, you did it."
"Of course I'm sure, now meet with me with 0 notice and I will demonstrate its broken."
Our Hero - "If you insist, because I see it worked."
"So heres wha..."
Our Hero - "Let me stop you there, use this one."
....
....
"So it worked."
Our Hero - "F off next time."

And then our hero flew away, as Hero's do.

I guess Microsoft felt left out for not being the cause of the Windows outage last week, so today they broke Azure. Made 2/3 of my day a waste of time.

On the other hand, the stupidity of others is why you have a job!

There are days when I think to myself, "Self, I can't believe people are really going to argue over this stupid stuff. It's just not worth it."

But then I realize, "People arguing over stupid stuff pays my bills."

That’s my career in a nutshell.

So go on and keep clicking those phishing emails and running a production application on a server that has never seen a patch a day in its life. I want to tell all those folks who are proud to be running old unsupported computers that are likely infected with malware that that’s not really something to be proud of, but then there would be no botnets for me to protect my employer’s websites from and then where would I be? Unemployed, that’s where.

It doesn't work quite as well when the tools you use to fix stupid people's stuff are, themselves, broken. It makes me stupid for not meeting deadlines of relatively simple tasks.

Reddit is always good for a laugh.

"All I know is, my Desert of Desolation books didn't have that legacy content disclaimer on it back in 1984, and I had no problems finding players. But ever since Ha$bro put that legacy content disclaimer on them, I can't find anyone who wants to play AD&D with me. Wake up, people!"

That's all you know, eh?

I honestly feel like I'm missing something.

But of all the pointless debates, arguing about what a corporation chooses to call a revision to their product seem more pointless than the communal crayon box in a kindergarten.

....thinks....
Okay, not the most pointless. This will always be the most pointless.

But then again, that one was so stupid it circled all the way around back to brilliant.

Something to look forward to!
