I just hope that now that they've set the Multiverse as the core setting and made the PHB generally setting neutral, that when they do Settings, they remember that they can make those settings use only some of the available options, rather than force everywhere to be "kitchen sink".
In 10 years and 11+ settings, they have yet to ban anything but limiting species to "these aren't native, ask your DM if you can play one". I highly suspect that any and all official settings will continue that trend.

As someone who was calling for WotC to tell us what happens next, I'm glad they listened to me and put something together. ;)

But seriously: I think it's good that they have decided to talk about what's next. I'm amused that they didn't say anything about this at Gen Con, but marketing isn't their strong suit at the moment. It will be interesting to see what the plan is.

I wonder if we'll get a guide as to how Beyond will have both 2014 and 2024 available at the same time.
Because so far they've not said much and early access is a few days away.
Yes, this is something that I've also been wondering about and I'm disappointed about the silence from WotC on this.

OTOH, we do have at least one hint. They recently changed how you access the rules for each class. Instead of a drop-down menu, you are now taken to a separate page with a listing. It seems to me that this paves the way for having access to both the 2014 and the 2024 versions. We'll see.
