D&D General D&D 2024 does not deserve to succeed

Someone posted….in the D&D General thread….that D&D is the devil and needs to go (I’m paraphrasing of course). This begs the question; who’s disparaging whom?

D&D has always been mismanaged and frequently been lackluster. Gygax was the king of mismanagement and Lorraine Williams its duchess.

If anything can kill it it's the voracious greed of Mammon Hasbro.

I would also question the assertion that DC20 is better than D&D in any absolute sense. granted I'm not in a position I can toss $35 at a beta but the free preview doesn't inspire me.

Brennan may say it's a masterpiece, but ... is he going to run Dimension 20 using that or D&D? I'm pretty sure I know the answer.

Critical Role has Daggerheart and Candela Obscura, and play both. But they continue running D&D.

Whether D&D is 'corrupt' and such a horrible beast, there does seem to be a financial incentive to attaching its name to your products and services.

Yeah, yet another "WotC is terrible and D&D is awful." Posted on a D&D forum.

This gets so freaking old. Ah well, back to ignoring BS threads that could have just said something about a cool new game without spitting on the preferences of people who happen to like playing D&D.
