Resilient wisdom at level 12 is still ok The fighter has one get out of jail free card at level 9. But yes. Resilient wisdom is nice.Sure but the question really is why would they want both, instead of something like resilient wisdom.
Yes. The save aura is great. +3 for everyone. Also healing status effects. No doubt.Sure. But no save aura. No power through spell versatility is being factored in either.
I agree. Depending on the campaign I'd favor that too. On the other hand there are also nasty Int and Cha saves out there. So maybe just trying to have lucky from background or being a gnome would be a different idea. OR Mage slayer.Sure or he could have GWM, max str and resilient Wis. That would be my suggested setup.
Yes. I did not say they get one at level 10. 4, 6, 8. So three chances to raise str combined with a nice feat. Also, fighters don’t get an extra feat 10th. That’s rogues. Fighters are 6 and 14.
I agree. If we are just comparing damage and healing only, I tend to include some of it. Otherwise it is unfair.I’m using it, just not for low impact offensive stuff.
It is however not always clear what is high and what is low impact.
Really depends on group dynamic. Which is why I added Heavy Armor mastery and mage slayer in the mix.
Neither of them are low impact. If you calculate it, HAM reduces a lot of damage from lesser foes. It adds up very fast. Mage slayer allows you to just succeed on a Wis (or Int or Cha) save and helps breaking constitution. So I don't consider them inconsequential.
So my ideal setup would be:My ideal fighter would have GWM, resilient wisdom, high str and dex.
GWM, Mage Slayer, HAM.
I would also have high strength, mediocre dex and con and a bit of wisdom.
17/14/14/8/12/10.
Background feat would be lucky if I can chose. Otherwise tough from farmer is also nice. Pairs nicely with HAM.
