What I want to know is, what sadistic sorcerer made geese.

No sadistic sorcerer made geese.

Geese are merely a note that Nature is not a kindly force looking to help you. Nature is ornery, and any comfort we take in its benevolence toward us is misplaced egoism on our part.
 


More seriously, I came across a post on… some social media sight, could have been Twitter or Bluesky or Tumblr, I don’t really remember… anyway, it suggested that “owlbears” could actually be giant rodents, with their prominent, enameled front teeth creating the illusion of a beak, and I kind of love the idea.
