I recall once seeing a grilled cheese sandwich listed on a menu, in pretty regular family restaurant, for something like $100.00.To return to the original topic, I ate in an Neapolitan restaurant on Saturday that prides itself on authenticity. They will provide a pineapple pizza, but it's £500 (about US$600) as opposed to about £15 for other pizzas.

My younger brother, when we were but youths, would order a cheese sandwich every time my family would dine out (at the time a rare occasion). It didn't matter what the cuisine was, it was a cheese sandwich or nothing. My brother's taste buds used the commoner stat block and didn't hear the call to adventure until college when he met his now wife. He would have not blinked an eye at $100 for a cheese sandy, my parents on the other hand...I recall once seeing a grilled cheese sandwich listed on a menu, in pretty regular family restaurant, for something like $100.00.
It always seems to be like that, when it's not your money. I can't remember what it said but this place had a small type blurb that said something along the lines of, "We don't want to, but if you really want one..."My younger brother, when we were but youths, would order a cheese sandwich every time my family would dine out (at the time a rare occasion). This kind of thing is funny maybe... once and then you realize it's just elitist crap. At least until you encounter people who have some real food anxiety issues, then it also becomes ableist as well as elitist crap.I recall once seeing a grilled cheese sandwich listed on a menu, in pretty regular family restaurant, for something like $100.00.
Yeah, i tend to agree. One of my nephews literally eats nothing other than grilled cheese or chicken nuggets at a restaurant, and his parents already have a hard time getting him to eat healthier at home. I suspect the last thing they'd want is to fight that battle when they're at a restaurant. This kind of thing is funny maybe... once and then you realize it's just elitist crap. Oh, gee. Would you look at that. Yet another non-D&D thread taken over by people complaining it sucks because it’s not D&D. Surprise, surprise, surprise.
