God Rules: Players Guide (5e)

Got the God Reaper miniature and the God Reaper vs. Cthulhu Diorama 3D Commission finished a few days ago. Let me know what you think, personally I think the sculptor GreyBlueStudios (on Etsy) did a great job...although my images below seem a tad blurry compared to the model's themselves).

As for the book itself, still at least a month's work. Will let everyone know when I have a completion date down to under a couple of weeks. Progress going good though, any delays are just me being me.

Very cool, would love to paint this once I can get a hold of it.

I appreciate the love. The sculptor did a brilliant job.

I'll probably commission a painter for some cool photos for the Kickstarter. I used to be good at miniature painting...albeit 35 years ago.

The plan is to have the option to buy the STL for either the God Reaper miniature, God Reaper vs. Cthulhu Diorama...or both. I also plan to get some miniatures 3D printed*, so if people want the physical option they can have that too.

*Maybe 60 of the God Reaper miniature and 12 of the God Reaper vs. Cthulhu Diorama...Although not sure if those numbers are ambitious or not.

Never too late to start again.

Will try to get the physical release of the God Reaper vs. Cthulhu. I like to have minis more as display pieces than use.

Well I have to finish the book, finish my new website and finish all the stuff for the Kickstarter...then get the Epic Bestiary ready...then the next book after that, etc. So not sure where I'll fit in the time for painting miniatures. Plus would likely take me a while to get back to my Golden Demon (regionals 1988) form again.

I noticed some mini printers offer to also undercoat the miniatures grey and the detail pops better. So I might go with that option.

Looking good! I am partial to non-humanoid epic threats, but this is pretty epic!

I will see how people like this miniature and maybe get a couple of monsters sculpted for the Bestiary. I think a cool Large or Huge size monster often makes the overall best tabletop miniature.

Obviously, I have plenty of monsters bigger than Huge size, as well as a bunch bigger than Gargantuan (even though that is WotC's 'catch all ' 10m+ category, I'll break things down a bit better so that a 10m creature is not in the same category as a 'mountainous' 10 Mile creature.).

insert ever persistent bump of adoration

Cheers amigo. I appreciate the love...and most of all, the patience.

Crawling to the finishing line. Progress was going decent until my monitor blew Sunday afternoon (replacement arriving Thursday).

But it has given me a chance to go over the 82 Epic Spells and see if I am missing anything obvious. New (simplified) Epic Spell system continues spell levels (rather than 3e's spell DCs) but has a Build-a-spell set of Tables where you should (fingers crossed) be able to create any Epic Spell in less than a minute.

Need 1 week to finish Chapters 1-5 and Chapters 6-8 collectively need about 6 weeks to complete...assuming no more hiccups like a blown monitor.

Your perseverance in the face of adversity is admirable. If I were to assign portfolios to you, Stoicism would definitely be one. Although, Procrastination might be the other. lol

I'm intrigued by the idea of a simplified epic spell system. Could it be applied to 3.5/Pathfinder?
