I think the straight male aspect of Bond is fundamental to the character. He is a womanizer and misogynist.Anyone but a white male.

I was going to say, there's your female bond right there
I see that you're not interested in dissenting views, but while I think that more new spy stuff with non-white-male leads would be absolutely great, I think that they would only be made weaker to be forced to conform to any Bond-isms.Anyone but a white male.
I don't think that is what anyone is doing.I'm amused people are telling me my opinion about fluff art is objectively wrong.

Opinions are subjective but the ideas that motivate opinions are open to debate. Not necessarily here, given the rules. But in general. Of course people can also make incorrect assumptions about which ideas motivate your opinions as well.I'm amused people are telling me my opinion about fluff art is objectively wrong.
I'm good with dissenting views of what others want! I find it amusing I'm being told what I want is wrong.....I see that you're not interested in dissenting views, but while I think that more new spy stuff with non-white-male leads would be absolutely great, I think that they would only be made weaker to be forced to conform to any Bond-isms.
Would "Killing Eve" or "Atomic Blonde" have been better if they'd been Bond stories? I don't think so.
You could probably have pulled off an Idris Elba (or now a John Boyega) Bond, but again, I think that a spy character starring either of them would only be made more interesting if you leaned into how they are NOT Bond. YMMV.
It is possible that maybe you are right, and I don't want BOND anymore. I'll have to consider that. Like, I don't really need misogyny from my protagonists right now.I see that you're not interested in dissenting views, but while I think that more new spy stuff with non-white-male leads would be absolutely great, I think that they would only be made weaker to be forced to conform to any Bond-isms.
