I blame 4e.We are, let us say generously, a bit much...
That's it! Snarf was so offended by the very existence of Damage on a Miss that he can't even look at the D&D Forums...I blame 4e.
I lived in Naples, Italy for 3 years and aside from the part about pepperoni not being a thing, American toppings or having to ask for sauce wasn't a thing I ever saw. Unless of course the pizza combination specifically said it either had white sauce or no sauce. American toppings sounds like something you'd find in a place catering to tourists in Rome or something, Naples wasn't exactly a top tourist destination for um.. reasons.A client (and friend of mine) just got back from his trip to Naples, Italy, and was devastated to learn that pepperoni pizza is an American invention, and not an Italian one. Sure, he could find pepperoni (salamino picante) on lots of menus, and he could order it, but it was always listed under "American toppings" or whatever and that bothered him.
"And I had to tell them I wanted sauce!" Seriously, dude? You flew 6000 miles to tell them that? Did you think they forgot?
Anyway. The moral of the story, if there is one: don't let "authenticity" tell you what's good.
Why change now? We’re warmed up, we’re rehearsed, we’re ready to do it again like a Broadway hit! It’s been 17 damn years. Can we please stop debating 4e?
I always wonder what the overlap between neurodivergence and RPGs is. I know video games have a higher than average number of neurodivergent players than the general population. I would be utterly amazed if a similar trend were not found here as well.We are, let us say generously, a bit much...
Well, it depends on who it hits, I suppose.![]()

Asteroid 2024 YR4 has a 2.3% chance of hitting Earth in the year 2032. But according to new estimates, it may have an even smaller chance of hitting the moon instead.www.yahoo.com
