(No, I’m not really asking because I know it’s against the rules here.)

Amen to that!I don’t know. Tinkering with the wheel is great. You never know, they might come up with something cool along the way. Besides, it’s their time to waste and their game to play. Make it your own. RAW is boring and unimaginative. Every referee is a game designer. More referees should tinker and experiment and play weird and (re)invent things. There’d be a lot more interesting stuff in certain corners of the hobby if they did.

The irony is that in the automotive world, wheels are a big deal, not that they aren't still round, except that there are a lot of variables, such as for off road, character, and so forth, in that there are so many websites for wheels, discussions about tires, and that wheels also denote a certain style for an era. No less contentious, and that tire, and wheel packages represent a serious amount of money, dropping a few grand on a set isn't considered much.
Yep, rather annoying when you respond to someone to dispute a specific thing they said and they go off on a whole tangent about things you didn’t even say because at some point in time they’re not even reading the screen names to see different people interested in different aspects. It all becomes sides of the overall argument without considering maybe just maybe the person responding might agree with some or even most of your post and just took issue with a specific point they snipped out to comment on.I hate this idea that arguing with one or two posters on a message board is a proxy for arguing with an large portion of a fandom, and yet I see it cropping up all the time.
No, dude, that’s just one or two people who don’t agree with you. Don’t make it bigger than that.

Every time I see that thread title I can't help but think "Ahh yes, now here is someone with their finger on the pulse... truly, this is the Fonz of tabletop role-playing games".
