Frankly, Venom is a missed opportunity for a Body Horror superhero (I mean, Hulk is the ultimate Marvel Body Horror superhero, as anyone reading Immortal Hulk will tell you ad inifinitum if you give them a chance), IMO. And if I think "Body Horror" I think Cronenberg.Missed opportunity. Peele should take Venom, and turn it into the horror movie it should be.
I think that I'm rather see Peele try his hand at a particular DC character, rather than Marvel. Phantom Stranger. It could be an anthology. If nothing else he makes a great character to introduce other stories, in Crypt Keeper fashion.Frankly, Venom is a missed opportunity for a Body Horror superhero (I mean, Hulk is the ultimate Marvel Body Horror superhero, as anyone reading Immortal Hulk will tell you ad inifinitum if you give them a chance), IMO. Peele would do really well with any of the other, more traditional, horror supers: Morbius (shudder), Man-Thing, Man-Wolf, Man-Frankenstein, etc. He'd give them a spin you never saw coming and rebirth them into something more subtle and infinitely more horrifying.
I know Mike Flanagan is supposed to write a script for a Clayface movie but I’d love to see him do a character like Swamp Thing or Constantine.I think that I'm rather see Peele try his hand at a particular DC character, rather than Marvel. Rumours about a second Constantine movie, starring Keanu, keep floating around, with Francis Lawrence to direct. Even on IMDB.I know Mike Flanagan is supposed to write a script for a Clayface movie but I’d love to see him do a character like Swamp Thing or Constantine.

Yeah, though I stopped watching the DC TV series because of crossover fatigue, Ryan felt far more comic accurate.Keanu is great overall, but Matt Ryan blew his Constantine out of the freakin' water.
That's fair! But I'd love to see what Peele would do with Mystique...Venom is only body horror on the surface, which can be seen when we look at its original incarnation, as Spider-Man's black costume, a story that has little body horror, as it is about control, identity, and possession. That's more Peele's territory.
