At least it taught me that the average roll on a D6 is 3.5, not 3Probability and Statistics is a required course in most (all?) ABET-accredited engineering schools in America. Next month will mark the 10-year anniversary of my graduation, and I've been a practicing civil engineer ever since.
And the only time I've ever used what I learned in ProbStats outside of college? Building random encounter tables for my home D&D game.
How those threads go…Yeah. And often--"usually" seems too strong--everyone's right, by the definitions they're preferring. There's no point in bothering with that argument.
